FrontCde Studio

Hello!

I design and build websites, CMS projects and web applications — for companies with no in-house technical team, and for teams that need extra frontend capacity.

Design + Code = Real solutions

I design and build websites, content systems and web applications — from the visual layer through to production code. Astro and Sanity where the job is publishing and editing content. React or Next.js at the front and Ruby on Rails behind it, where a full application is needed.

WHAT I DO

Design and engineering in one place — from the wireframe, through the code, to a panel the client actually runs.

Sites and applications you can keep running

I take on two kinds of work. The first is end-to-end delivery for companies that need a site or an application and have no technical team of their own: design, code, launch, and a session on the panel. The second is contract work — joining an existing team as frontend support, usually on Rails applications with a React or Next.js front.

I work on data-dense systems: real-estate analytics, CRMs, product catalogues and technical configurators. Those are projects where table performance matters, where filters have to stay readable, and where a year later you should be able to add a feature without rewriting half the application. The same discipline goes into the smaller builds.

I build full-stack, but I start from the person who will use it. The front is the layer where an application either holds or does not — that is why I stay there longest. The backend exists so that interface can be fast, correctly authorised, and consistent with the data. Smaller builds go from wireframe to production from one desk. On larger systems I bring in backend partners, or join the client’s team.

HOW IT WORKS

From wireframe
to production

The longest delays on web projects come from handing work between the designer, the frontend and the backend. That hand-off does not happen here: the wireframe, the components and the deployment all come from one place, and decisions about type or grid are made directly in code. On larger systems I work with trusted backend and architecture partners.

WAYS TO WORK

Three ways to work together, depending on what you need

01

End-to-end build

A site or an application from the first conversation to launch: design, code, CMS and a handover session. This is the fit where there is no technical team in-house.

02

Contract engineering

Joining an existing team as frontend support, usually on Rails applications with a React or Next.js front. Dashboards, internal systems, performance, component architecture.

03

Consulting

A review of frontend architecture, technology choices, an audit of code already written. The short format, for the moment a team is in place but stuck on a decision.
