Astro sites with a Sanity panel — florist, law practice, schools, clinic. One way of working, different content and character.
This kind of project is a site the team updates itself — no ticket to a developer for every price, hour or news change. I start with who the site is for and how the editors actually work. A school, a law firm, a florist, a clinic, a museum or a foundation each speaks differently and needs different fields in the panel.
Astro builds the front out to static HTML, so the page loads quickly and needs no application server. Sanity is the panel: only the document types that are needed, fields named in plain language, a preview before publish. When a change is saved the site rebuilds itself. Language versions are linked at document level, not as separate pages.
What was built
- Florist — bouquet catalogue and occasion work (weddings, funerals, interiors) kept from a phone, without pretending to be a shop
- Law practice — services in the client’s language; each type of matter has a description, required documents and an indicative cost
- Schools — a panel for a dozen editors, several languages, documents that have to be public by law; the same template at several institutions
- Dental clinic — prices, treatments and opening hours updated from the front desk
- Visual design made with the components, CMS setup, and a handover session on the panel
